Christmas Eve on The Sugar Loaf   4 comments

What better way to prepare for a day at home cooking, fannying about with spanners putting toys together and getting fat than a walk in the mountains

A lazy day. We got up late and had an early lunch before heading out. A short walk with no navigational pressure was in order so the classic Sugar Loaf circuit was on Santa’s list

A walk I’ve done and blogged many times if you look for it on the blog and need some words and maps

Or in other words I’m too lazy to write it up – again.

So, use your imagination and make up your own words, don’t just sit there relying on me to write them, I’m busy. Well actually I’m not busy but you get the idea. A couple of beers and I’ve gone all esoteric 🙂

Happy Christmas – for 6 weeks ago. A bit late but its the thought that counts.

  1. That looks like ideal preparation for Christmas.
In the last photo featuring D in the slideshow, he’s looking quite mean and moody. Has he been taking tips from L, or has he discovered his cool gene?
Hang on, had to pause there to reconsider what I’d written. Cool gene? But I’ve thought it through and considered the implications, and I’ll stand by it – he could have a cool gene – it could be recessive and have skipped a generation!

    • I don’t want to be cool. Wanting to, and looking cool, isn’t, well, cool. Thats why I never appear on the blog. Where the juniors get their coolness from who knows. Must have come in box from Amazon

  2. A beautiful looking day, albeit very un-Christmassy weather! Should have been weather like today….

    • I went up the nearby Ysgyryd Fawr on Christmas Eve once when it was all covered in snow and seriously cold. It’s how Christmas Eve should be. I’ve even climbed a proper mountain in Scotland on Christmas Day before heading back down for Turkey and trimmings.

There will be a proper winter conditions post coming over the weekend
