Another classic short walk, high start, no climbing, great views, interesting industrial archeology, name that rhymes with orange. What more do you need from a days walk.

Interestingly we did the same walk almost exactly a year ago in exactly the same weather. Funny old world.

  1. Another classic. Seems like we’re back in ‘the sun always shines in South Wales’ territory!

  2. What lake or body of water is the first picture? – it looks fairly large.

  3. I have told this earlier, I think so, but there is heavy resemblance of this landscape and some in my country in the Northern parts – hills and no trees etc.

It was again nice to hike with You thru my Your photos.

  4. It’s that lake again, that looks like it’d be wonderful to wild camp next to 🙂

    • It would be a be nice spot to wild camp in the van although its quite near some pretty run down old pit towns so you might get hassled. There is a car park that overlooks the lake and its up at about 500m. Its always winter when I walk up here so it’s always cold and windy. The views down over the edge are spectacular.
